This project offers most services free to most NS residents. Some eligibility criteria applies. See below for some additional details. Many of these services will not be covered if the pharmacy is not part of the CPPCC project.

Some services are available through virtual care or phone call.

Note: we CANNOT assess or prescribe for Sinus, chest or ear infections. You will be referred to outpatient.

Prescription Renewals

The Pharmacist is able to assess and renew prescriptions that you have recently or will run out of refills on.

The pharmacist can do a one-on-one review of all your medications and provide an official medication list.

Tobacco Use Reduction

The Pharmacist can now provide counseling services and prescribing to help you reduce your use of tobacco.

Shingles Infection

The Pharmacist can assess your infection and prescribe antivirals.

Chronic Disease Management

The Pharmacist is now qualified to monitor, assess, order lab tests and prescribe for a selection of pre-diagnosed chronic diseases.

The pharmacist can provide a free Naloxone Kit and train you how to use it.

The pharmacist can assess and inject Intramuscular and Subcutaneous medications. Some prescriptions from other providers are necessary for certain medications.

Pharmacogenomics

The Pharmacist can sample your saliva and get critical genetic information on how you body processes medications. This allows for more personalized dosing and choice of treatment. It is a better way to manage therapies. The results from the test will likely be useful for the rest of your life.

One time Fee of 200-500$ to obtain the genetic information and a pharmacist consult.
